In compliance to the orders of Animal Husbandry & Dairy development minister for strict action to tackle food adulteration, a team of Police Administration, Health department and Dairy development Board in cooperation with Progressive dairy farmer association, raid at non-licensed food processing factory at village Ballomajra near Mohali and recovered 2060 KG fake cheese 89 KG butter, Ghee and 10 KG milk crème along with 3375 KG Skimmed milk & 120 litre sulphuric acid. The police team has also arrested Mr. Ashok Kumar who is running the business of fake dairy products and charge sheet under section 272/273 & 420 of IPC act has been registered at Police Station Balongi. Involvement of some other persons is likely to be disclosed from Ashok Kumar.The fake cheese, ghee and other dairy items prepared at village Ballomajra were supplied to Chandigarh including Kharar, Kurali, SAS Nagar, Dera Bassi, Rajpura and nearby towns. Worth-mentioning at here that fake cheese, ghee and other dairy products in huge quantity has been recovered from various locations in the state during recent days. 

Taking a strict notice on this Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister S. Balbir Singh Sidhu directed to take strict action and also directed to conduct raids at suspicious locations, so that food adulterations could be tackled effectively. S. Sidhu said that he has submitted a proposal for stringent punishment for food adulteration in the cabinet meeting held today. S. Sidhu warned the persons involved in food adulterations to stop spoiling the health of general public otherwise there will be no chance of their escape.The team conducted raid today morning includes President Progressive Dairy Farming Association Mohali Sh. Sukhdev Singh, Farmer Parminder Singh Dhangrali, Amit Thakur Giddarbaha, Satinder Singh Mandoli Kalan, Narinder Singh Gharuan and resident so fvillage Ballo Majra. The team conducting raid was assisted by Executive Officer Dairy Development Board Mohali Sh. Sewa Singh, Health Officer Rajvir Singh Kang, Food Safety Officer Anil Kumar, GM Verka Milk Plant Udham Singh,Mr. Gurdev Singh, SHO Balongi Manfool Singh, ASI Dilbaag Singh and Gurvryam Singh were present.
