Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma on Monday directed officials to ensure prompt and effective delivery of the services to the people approaching their offices. Conducting an inspection of various subordinate branches in the administrative complex including Miscellaneous , PGA, Receipt, Arms Licence Registry Head Clerk, District Revenue Office (DRO), Sadar Kanugo and others, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma showed satisfaction on the performance of the branches and motivated them to facilitate the people in getting in their day-to-day works done easily.  He clearly told the branches' heads that there should not be any kind of mismanagement in the functioning and people must not be suffered for getting their works done.Deputy Commissioner asked them to achieve the target of zero percent pendency as this would instil the trust among the people over the government and its functioning.He said that the state government is committed to implementing the pro-people and development-oriented policies for benefitting the masses.During the inspection, he checked the record and attendance registers besides talked with the employees working in these branches.
