72nd Independence Day Celebrated at Sankoo

Like in other part of kargil the 72nd Independance day was celebrated with immense patriotism pomp and gaiety at sankoo on wednesday The major celebration event was organized at mini sport stadium ground where the nation flag was hoisted by the sub Divisional Megistrate Sankoo shri Ghulam Mouhadin Wani (KAS)and took salute during  the parade  comprasing at march past the contingent J&K Police , children from various government,private educational institutions participated in the march and large number of local people's from different adjacent villages of sankoo witnessed the celebration . Addressing the gathering after unfurling the natinal flag Sub Divisional Megistrate Sankoo Shri Ghulam Mouhadin wani(KAS) facilitated the people on eve of the 72nd  Independance day and he pay rich tribute to great freedom fighter Mahatama Gandhiji who sacrificed their precious lives for the freedom of the country. He further added and said,remembered the pre-independence struggle and supreme sacrifices of our great freedom fighters and said that this occasion is to take commitment to serve our motherland and contribute our part of duty and responsibility for the development and progress of the nation.

He recalled the sacrifices of the great martyr who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle who brought all the people irrespective of caste, coulor creed and language together for achieving independence.on the occasion the school ongong children’s presented various impressive cultural programmes.Prominent amongst other dignitaries were present includes I/C Block Medical officer sankoo,Executive Enginner SVD, Deptuy Chief Education officer Sankoo ,Station House officer sankoo,Zonal Education Officer,Tehsildar,Naib Tehsilder, Block Development Officer Sankoo,Principal Govt.Higher secondary school trespone,Principal Govt.Higher secondary school sankoo,Ringer officer sankoo,Headmasters,Headmistress and community Leader of sankoowere also present on the Independence day event .Later the Sub Divisional Megistrate sankoo Ghulam Mouhadin wani distributed prizes among the participants.in the march past event for the first position went to Muthaharry Public High school Saliskote,second prize was bagged by Noon Public High School Sankoo,and 3rd Position by Govt Middle school Tikat. Meanwhile in cultrural programme 1st position got Govt Pilot School Lankerchey Thang,2nd position went to NPHS sankoo,and 3rd Position was bagged by Army Goodwill school Faroona.Report of Celebration of Independence day at Zanskar,Taisuru, Panikhar,TSG Block were the national flag hoisted by respective Tehsildars.
