DDC Ramban chairs DLRC, RSETI meets

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to discuss the achievements of banks in deposits and advances, here today.The meeting was attended by representative RBI, Vikram Dhanda, Lead District Manager, M.K Pandita, Director RSETI R.K Sharma, DGM-NABARD, Arushi Shrma, CAO, GM DIC, ADs, DSHO, and others bankers and officers of line department.DDC fixed the target for all the bank branches functioning in district for credit linkage of Self Help Groups. He also directed the NABARD, Agriculture Department and bankers to formulate a scheme for developing Vegetable, Anardana and Beyidana cluster villages in the district.It was informed in the meeting that up to June 2018, deposit to the tune of Rs 1250.42 crore has been recorded and Rs 441.37 crore in the advance sector and the CD Ratio of district stands on 35.30%.DDC expressed his displeasure over low CD ratio in the district and directed the bankers to redouble their efforts and initiate concrete steps for lending towards these sectors to achieve 100% targets besides improving the CD ratio of the district from 35.30% to national target of 60%.

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on the centrally sponsored schemes under which loans are provided to the beneficiaries for operating income    generating units.  The Chairman expressed extreme displeasure over low progress of banks in achieving targets of CD ratio and poor performance in credits in Agriculture sector, SME segment and other priority sectors.He directed all the banks to take effective measures for ensuring small loans especially in Agriculture, Education and employment sector so that majority of the population would be facilitated under various schemes besides providing KCC to the farmers.DDC directed the bankers to provide loans under MUDRA, Atal Pension Yojna besides effectively implementing PMJDY, PMJJY, PMSBY, PMAPY and other financial assistance schemes to people for establishing their business units. He directed the agriculture authorities and bankers to jointly ensure proper implementation of Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for providing financial security to farmers.Meanwhile, a meeting to review the functioning of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) at Ramban was also held wherein suggestions from different departments for opening new small-scale units were welcomed.DDC directed them to introduce new job-oriented courses including innovative farming, food processing and other engineering trades for providing job opportunities to youth of the district.
