DC Ramban reviews functioning of Revenue Department

To review the functioning of Revenue department, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today convened a meeting of officers in his office chamber.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurvinderjeet Singh, ACR, VevaikPuri, SDMs, Tehsildars and Naib tehsildars of district were presented in the meeting.Threadbare discussion was held on the issues regarding the regular updation of land record. DC instructed the officers for early completion of land acquisition cases, preparation of Jamabandi, attestation of mutations.  Tehsildars were impressed to direct the Girdawars and Patwaris of their jurisdictions to prepare roznamcha, Jamabandi and other revenue records. SDMs and Tehsildars were directed to pay frequent visits in government offices to check and ensure biometric attendance. He also asked them to conduct revenue work related camps and outreach programmes in their respective jurisdictions to resolve the public issues at their door steps.DC directed all Tehsildars to frame an action plan for removing the encroachments from State and Kacharai Land in their respective areas in time bound manner. He gave strict instructions for timely disposal of revenue cases and public grievances. DC directed officers as well as the field staff of revenue department to adhere to the directions passed by the CVC.Responding to issues raised by the officers of their respective areas DC assured them for early resolution.
