Out of 25 students, 23 students have been shown reappear status in “Quantitative Techniques” subject which according to students is quite unexpected as this subject is being considered as the easiest one. “The irony is that even the distinction holders of the previous year have been declared failed in this subject while as the result of the other colleges offering BBA Courses is satisfactory in the same subject.” Suhaib Rashid Bhat, a candidate told CNS and added that the students are stunned and have failed to understand why Kashmir University have not evaluated the examination papers in a professional manner. Dozens of students from Degree College Sopore assembled in Press Enclave Srinagar and held a demonstration against the University authorities. They sought the intervention of Higher Education Minister in this matter and appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to personally intervene to deliver justice to deprived candidates.
