DC Kargil inaugurates e-governance project VAHAN, SARATHI version 4.0

Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, LAHDC Kargil, Vikas Kundal today inaugurated the e-governance project VAHAN and SARATHI Version 4.0 here today.Under this project, all the applicants belonging to Learner License, Driving License and Registration of newly purchased vehicles has been made online. Besides, vehicle dealers will also be put on board on Vahan 4.0.The Deputy Commissioner was apprised that the online services will facilitate the people to book their Learning License, Driving License and test appointment etc at their home and the payment of fee, taxes and road taxes has also been placed online.As per Version 4.0 the fitness of the vehicles belonging to J&K can be done anywhere in the state. In future the trade certificate issued to the dealers will also be made online, even the applicants for the renewal of permits and application for issuance of new permit will also be put online by ending September 2018. It was informed that implementation of the online service would reduce the rush of the public in the ARTO office.On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned to work with utmost dedication and honesty.
