DC Kargil reviews ICDS functioning

Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Vikas Kundal today in a meeting reviewed the functioning of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) sanctioned under Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) held here.Threadbare discussions were held on various schemes including implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme.It was given out in the meeting that the scheme was fully launched in the district. It was also given out in a meeting that a new programme Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was launched in the district for pregnant women’s and an amount of Rs 15.51 lakh has been distributed among 757 beneficiaries under this scheme.Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned to work with utmost dedication and achieve hundred per cent targets fixed for the current fiscal. He directed them to ensure that the benefits of all the existing Centrally Sponsored Schemes should reach to a maximum lot. He also called for creating massive awareness among the people about the CSS.Earlier, the District Programme Officer, ICDS Kargil, Nargis Bano briefed the meeting about the activities of the Department. The meeting was attended by all Child Development Programme Officers (CDPOs) of district Kargil and other officers of ICDS were present in the meeting.
