Meeting to review construction of Kaithlighat-Shimla bypass road held

A review meeting regarding construction of Kaithlighat to Shimla (27.50 kms) bypass road under Parwanoo-Shimla four lane project of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was held here today.Presiding over the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary PWD Manish Nanda directed the officers concerned to fulfill all the formalities for construction of this road in a time bound manner.  She said the land acquired should be transferred in the name of the Authority at the earliest so that construction work did not get delayed.She said that the state government was providing all possible assistance for construction of this road. She directed the SDM, Shimla to identify three dumping sites and said that efforts should be made to construct bus stands and parking slots from the debris. She directed the NHAI, Municipal Corporation and other concerned departments to hold a joint meeting in this regard.It was informed in the meeting that the work of land acquisition was in final stages and compensation is also being provided to the affected people.
