'I-Hariyali' App Got Massive Response From People Across Punjab : Sadhu Singh Dharamsot

App Trending At No. 1, 170000 Downloads From Google Play Store, 140000 Bookings Till Date

"The 'I-HARIYALI' app launched by the Punjab Government to ensure clean and green environment to the people of the state as well as increase the green cover, has got massive response across the state."Expressing these views here today, the Forest Minister, Punjab, Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that the department is diligently performing its responsibility to ensure the success of mission tandarust Punjab. He also said that under the Ghar Ghar Hariyali scheme the free saplings are being provided throughout Punjab. He further said that through this app the forest department has provided the facility to the people of making the bookings with regard to the choice saplings sitting at home with just a click.Expressing elation at the overwhelming response to the app, the minister said that with the support of the people this app has been trending at No. 1 position recently and has seen 170000 downloads from the google play store whereas the people of the state have made 140000 bookings till now to get free saplings of their choice. He added that the forest department has supplied 8 lakh saplings of various types during 1 month through this app.Divulging more, Mr. Dharamsot said that this app is the first android based mobile application of the country through which the people of Punjab have been given the option of selecting and procuring the saplings of their choice from the nursery which might be geographically close to their homes. He also elaborated that the app was launched on 5th June, 2018 by the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh as a part of the Ghar Ghar Hariyali scheme which in turn is a segment of the mission tandarust Punjab. He further said that after seeing the surge in demand of saplings among the people and the load since placed on the forest department as a result, the per person booking has been limited to 15 saplings.
