Member Parliament   Jammu-Poonch Constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting here today.The meeting reviewed progress of centrally sponsored projects, schemes, flagship programmes and social security schemes in terms of physical and financial achievements.The District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad made a detailed presentation. It was given out that 18011 free LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) were provided, while 7156 enrolments under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), 1579 under Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and 3687 under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) were made.Under Social Welfare Schemes, around Rs 2.17 Cr were provided to 6231, 388, 311 and 16 beneficiaries under IGNOPS, IGNWPS, IGNDPS and NFBS respectively, while 395 Self Help Groups involving 3752 unemployed women were constituted and Rs 43.65 Lakh Revolving Fund @ 15000/SHG to 291 SHGs and 90.80 Lakh Community Investment Fund @ 40000 to 227 SHGs were provided under National Rural Livelihood Mission.The MP complimented the District Administration   for appreciable achievements under various centrally sponsored schemes. He impressed upon the concerned officers to maximise public outreach for spreading awareness about   government programmes/schemes so that entailed benefits percolate to grassroots level.Jugal Kishore also directed for expediting construction of individual/community bunkers and Seema Bhawan as the project has pivotal role in safeguarding lives of border residents during ceasefire violations and accommodating people   during mass migration.The meeting was attended by ADDC Abdul Hamid, SSP Rajiv Pandey, General Manager DIC Manzoor Hussain, ACR B A Lone, ASP Anwar ul Haq, ACD Mukhtar Sheikh, ExEn PHE, PDD, PWD and PMGSY Division Poonch and Mendhar besides District and Sectoral Officers attended the meeting.
