DDC Poonch chairs pre-DISHA Meet

District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Friday chaired the preparatory meeting ahead of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee Meeting scheduled on July 2 convened to review the physical and financial progress under Centrally Sponsored Schemes.The DC discussed in detail the schemes being implemented in different sectors including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act(MGNREGA), Indra Gandhi National Disability Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pardhan Mantri Gram Awaas Yojana, National Social Assistance Programme, Swachh Bharat Mission(SBM), Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin, Different Scholarship Schemes, National Rural Drinking Water Programme, Digital India Land Record Modernisation Programme, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sanchayi Yojana, Watershed Management Programme( IWMP), Ujjawal DISCOM Assurance Yojana, Servs Shiksha Abhyan, National Health Mission, Mid-Day Meal Scheme, Integrated Child Development Scheme(ICDS), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Jal Marg Vikash Project, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission- National Rurban Mission(NRuM), National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana(HRIDAY), Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana, Digital India Public Internet Access Programme providing Common Service Centre in each Gram Panchayat and Pradhan Mantri Koushal Vikas Yojana .

Physical and financial achievements of various departments were also reviewed by DDC Poonch and concerned Departments were directed to furnish up dated data to the DDC office.The DDC Poonch informed the meeting that different developmental schemes have been initiated by the central government and these can be beneficial only if implemented in true spirit with special focus on rural and border areas.He further directed the concerned officials to conduct frequent tours of far off areas and gauge the level and performance of developmental works.The meeting was attended by Programme Officer ICDS, Manzoor Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mukhtar Ahmed, XEN PMGSY, Satish Bhagat, CEO Poonch Mushtaq Ahmed, CMO Poonch, Dr. Mumtaz Bhatti, Deputy Director(Planning), Shamaun Ahmed, Executive Engineers PWD(R&B), PDD, besides other District and Sectoral officers of different departments.
