DDC Kupwara reviews achievements under Tribal Sub-Plan

A meeting of District Officers was held today in the meeting hall of DC Office Complex under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir to review the achievements made during 2017-18 and to finalize  Action Plan 2018- 19 under the Cluster Model Villages of Moorie, Kachama, Nachayan, Rajwar and other works approved under Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Plan.The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development , Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineers of PHE, I&FC and R&B, CAO, Chief Animal Husbandry officer, Chief Sheep Husbandry Officer, CHO and other concerned.The meeting was informed that under Tribal Model Villages an amount of Rs 10 crore for Kachahama, Rs 10.8 crore for Nachayan, Rs 11.84 crore for Rajwar and Rs 10.15 crore for Muri  have been approved in the district. Under Border Area Development Programme 56 works are under execution at an estimated cost of 18.88 crores.DC urged the concerned officer to accelerate the pace of works being executed under Tribal Sub-Plan and emphasized the need for continuous monitoring towards maintaining the quality of works. He further added that there should be no delay in the execution and completion of works.DC also instructed the concerned for time bound approval of projects so that deadlines could be fixed and realised without comprising the quality of works and welfare of the people.
