DDC finalises Convergence Plan 2018-19

District Development Commissioner, Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad today finalised the convergence plan 2018-19 for district after thorough deliberations and detailed discussions with concerned officers.He directed them to prepare detailed project reports for implementation of convergence plan under MGNREGA.The meeting was informed that 60 percent share under labour component of MGNREGA would be utilised in convergence with different departments for creation of durable assets and maximising utilisation of funds for benefit of public.Executive Engineer, Irrigation informed in the meeting that they will take up the work on  37 khuls this year involving 60 percent labour component. The DDC was briefed that 45 Anganwari centres wherein 25 old and 20 new  would be constructed involving 60  percent labor budget.

Similarly Soil Conservation, Forest and Social Forestry Departments would provide  saplings whereas labour part would be contributed by RDD whereas Agriculture, IWMP, DRDA and PHE will dovetail their District Plan with labour component of MGNREGA for constructing water harvesting tanks, check dams etc for conservation of rainwater. Further, DYSSO and DFO Territorial were directed to submit action plan under convergence mode within a day.While addressing the meeting, the DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure timely execution of works reflected in convergence plan and its proper implementation at ground level for creation of durable assets, besides providing work to the rural work force at their doorsteps.ACR B A Lone, CPO Seva Ram Bhagat, ACD Mukhtar Ahmad, all BDOs, Executive Engineers of various Engineering Departments and concerned district officers attended the meeting.
