ADDC Ramban flags off ‘Anti-Drug Abuse’ rally

The Education Department, Ramban today organized an awareness programme and rally on “Anti-Drug Abuse” in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban here.Additional District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Nath Sadhu was the chief guest whereas CEO, A.H Fani was the guest of honour on the occasion. Principal of the host school Parshotam Singh, ZEPO, Parshotam Singh Raju, Head Master Government Girls High School, Amjad Hussain, NCC Officer Raj Singh Raju and faculty members were present in the programme.The ADDC flagged an awareness rally under its Nasha Mukti Abhiyan (Campaign), from GHSS Ramban which after passing main market and chowks culminated at same place.Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC focused on the growing menace of narcotics, alcohol and their ill-effects on one’s health especially on the youth and also its social impacts.He further said that such programmes provide an opportunity for individuals in every community to get involved in activities that can lead to better health. He further expressed his wish to organise such events in future also.The programme concluded with an oath by all the participants to pledge for making “Drugs free society” being a sincere, unbiased, fearless and responsible citizen.
