Peerzada inspects pace of work on Hajj House Jammu

The construction work on 43-room B Block building of Hajj House Jammu is nearing completion.Coming up at an estimated cost of Rs.4.20 crore, the three story complex would have restaurant, modern facilities, including Air Conditioned rooms with attached bath rooms.The construction work on 43-room B Block building of Hajj House Jammu is nearing completion.Coming up at an estimated cost of Rs.4.20 crore, the three story complex would have restaurant, modern facilities, including Air Conditioned rooms with attached bath rooms.This information was given today to the Minister for Hajj and Auqaf Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed during his visit to the project site.

The Minister also inspected facilities at the already operational block A of the Hajj Complex completed at a cost of Rs 2.36 crore with 20 shops. He was told that Rs 2.00 crore has been received as premium of the shops from those to whom these have been given on rent.About the facilities being provided to the Hajj pilgrims, he was told that they were being provided free boarding and lodging, while Rs.35 lakh is generated by putting the rooms on off season use.With completion of Block B, the revenue is likely to go up to Rs.72 to Rs.80 lakh per year, the Minister was further told.The Minister directed the Administrator, Auquaf Islamia, Jammu to maintain cleanliness in and around the complex.Later, the Minister visited Peer Baba Kanju Shah Sahib (RA) Ziriat Sharief Kanjuni and took stock of the pace of work on double story shopping complex taken up at a cost of Rs.1.5 crore adjacent to the Shrine.He was informed that Rs.60 lakh have been incurred on the development and beatification of the Ziariat Sharief as well as construction of Masjid Sharief, while another project on the vacant Waquf land has been proposed at an estimated cost of Rs.42 crore. The kanjwani area is named after the Sufi saint equally revered by all communities of the state.Peerzada stressed upon the concerned to speed up the pace of work and complete the shopping complex within the stipulated time frame. He also stressed that any encroachment on the waquaf property situated in the State shall be dealt firmly.The Minister also inspected the development and beatification work on Peer Baba Kanju Shah Sahib (RA) shrine.He also paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for welfare and development of the people of the State.
