Punjab Organizes Workshop on Information Security Sensitisation Programme on Critical Information Infrastructure Protection

Directorate of Governance Reforms, Punjab has organized one day Capacity Building workshop on Information Security Sensitisation Programme on Critical Information Infrastructure Protection in Coordination with National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC, Government of India) at MGSIPA , Sector 26, Chandigarh.Giving Details, a Spokesperson said that this workshop was organised for Punjab State Officers to sensitize about Information Security. In his inaugural address Mr. Parminder Pal Singh, Joint Secretary cum Director Governance Reforms, Punjab laid focus on importance of Information Security for Critical Information Infrastructure Protection in various government projects.  Mr. Sanjeev Chawla, Deputy Director General, NCIIPC  gave presentation on information security for critical Infrastructure.Tanay Bhattacharya Director NCIIPC,  Mr. Navdeep Pal Singh Sectoral Coordinator Government, NCIIPC also gave the presentations. Mr. M.K Aravind Kumar, Additional State Transport Commissioner, Punjab, Smt. Seema Bagha, DGM IT from PSPCL, Mr. Rohit Singla (PAWAN), Mr. Aman Sharma (CCTNS), Mr. Akhilesh Kumar Dwivedi (SDC) gave project presentations during the one day workshop.Presentations on various topics were organized during this Workshop e.g. NCIIPC roles and responsibilities and services, Mapping of Attack Vectors to NCIIPC Control Guidelines, Cyber Hygiene and best practices. NCIIPC officers also gave answers to various questions asked by the officers from Punjab during the workshop. Officers from Punjab gave presentations of following projects i.e. PSPCL, Transport, Punjab Police (CCTNS), State Data Centre, Punjab State Wide Area Network (PAWAN).Smt. Gurpreet Kaur Deo, ADGP/IT& T , Punjab Police was also present. In the end Mr. Vivek Vatsa, Senior Consultant Change Management and Capacity Building Punjab thanked all the officers/officials present from various State departments for their kind presence in this workshop.
