Rupnagar Police Arrested five members of a robbery gang

Raj Bachan Singh Sandhu, PPS, Sr. Supdt. of Police, Rupnagar has disclosed through Press note that district Police Rupnagar had launched campaign against anti social elements. Under this campaign police apprehended a five members of a gang who executed the incidents of robbery and vehicle stolen. Police has recovered one .315 bore desi Katta and two Kamanidar Knives and one tanker bearing reg. no. PB12F-9032 and 06 Motorcycles from said robbery gang. He further informed that A police party headed by Insp. Atul Soni, I/c CIA Rupnagar and SI Sunny Khanna SHO PS Nangal had setup nakabandi near MP Kothi, Nangal. Police party has a secret information that 1. Satpal @ Sattu S/o Tilak Raj R/o Village Jandla PS Nangal , 2.Balwinder Kumar @ Binder S/o Jeet Ram R/o Upparla Dabkhera, 3. Gurdeep Singh @ Sonu S/o Pawan Kumar R/o Upparli Ajauli 4. Ram Kumar @ Billa S/o Prem Chand R/o Lower Darauli and one other are occupied with lethal weapon and gathered at village Dukli in abandoned site between the canals and planning to commit a big incident. Taking action on the input a case FIR No. 73 dated 16.05.2018 U/s 399,402 IPC 25-54-59 Arms Act PS Nangal was registered and raid conducted. During the raid above said accused have been arrested. During of their search a Rifle .315 bore desi recovered from Satpal @ Sattu, 02 Kamanidar Knives recovered from Balwinder Kumar and Gurdeep Singh and 02 steel rods from other accused have been recovered. Detail interrogation of the accused have been conducted, during interrogation they confessed that they stolen tanker and motorcycles. During investigation a stolen tanker bearing reg. no. PB12F-9032 and 06 motorcycles recovered from them. One of accused is operating motorcycle mechanic shop, he used to sale the parts of stolen vehicles at his shop. Spare parts of stolen vehicles have also been recovered from his shop. It is pertinent to mention here that accused Satpal is head of said robbery gang. On dated 27.01.2017 he broke an ATM machine at village Brahmpur and also on dated 10.03.2017 he stole an Innova car from Nangal. Two criminal cases under the various sections of IPC have been registered against him.  Interrogation of accused is going on, it is expected that more vital clues will come into light.
