DDC discusses arrangements for Ramzan

District Development Commissioner, Tariq Husain Ganai today convened a meeting to discuss arrangements for holy month of Ramzan.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurvinder Jeet Singh, ASP Sanjay Parihar, CMO Dr. Saif-Ud-Din Khan, XEN PHE, Bashir Ahmed and other officers besides representatives of various religious organizations attended the meeting.The DDC held threadbare discussion with the representatives who apprised him of their demands related to uninterrupted water and power supply besides improving sanitation and strict check on quality and rates of essentials.DDC directed the concerned departments to ensure that adequate arrangements are put in place to provide better amenities during the month of Ramzan.He asked Municipal Committee Ramban, Banihal and Batote to ensure proper cleanliness around the Mosque and Eidgahs. He also directed to repair the damaged street lights.The DDC directed officers to work in synergy to carry out market checks and monitor quality of edibles besides keeping a strict vigil over rates of commodities. He asked the concerned officers of FCS&CA to ensure adequate supply of ration during Ramzan.He asked PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply especially during Sehri and Iftar besides directing PHE to ensure adequate supply of water so that people don’t face inconvenience on this account.ASP assured the meeting that the police department have made adequate arrangements of security.
