MLA Kokernag reviews progress under PMGSY, arrangements Ramzan

MLA, Kokernag Abdul Rahim Rather today convened a meeting of the officers to review the progress under PMGSY and arrangements for the month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak.The meeting was informed that in PMGSY sector, 70% of stage 1st under different phases has been completed up to 20th March, 2018. It was given out that construction on 13 projects, including 11 works under stage 1st and 02 under up gradation, is under progress. Further, the meeting was informed that construction on 40 km long Desu – Lehanwan – Margon road is under progress and till date 4 kms have been black topped and 16 more kms will be black topped by the end of October, 2018.Threadbare discussions with regard to disputes with departments viz. Forest, PHE, PDD, R&B & Revenue were held regarding the better execution of the projects under PMGSY.On the occasion MLA instructed the officers from different departments to work in coordination so that the construction of projects will be completed within the stipulated time period. He stressed upon the need to share the progress of various under construction projects with general public so that the transparency gets reflected in true spirit. The MLA further instructed the officers to expedite the pace of all developmental works.Later, in a separate meeting, the MLA reviewed arrangements for the month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak. On the occasion, the MLA instructed the concerned to make sufficient stocks of essential commodities available to the general public during the month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak.Exen PDD was instructed to work out the proper power schedule especially at the time Sahri & Iftar. Likewise, officers of the PHE, Health & Municipality were instructed to make satisfactory arrangements available during the said month.The meeting was attended by ACR, Anantnag, SDM Kokernag, CEO KDA, Exen PHE Division Bijbehara, Exen PDD, Chief Horticulture Officer Anantnag, Tehsildar Kokernag, BDOs of Kokernag, Larnoo, Sagam, Naib Tehsildars and other officers.
