Rs. 14.60 Cr earmarked under BADP for Leh : DC

Deputy Commissioner Leh, Avny Lavasa, today said that measures are afoot to develop border belts of the district.The DC stated this during officers meeting she chaired here today. The Councilors of Leh district representing Nyoma, Tangtse, Nubra and Khaltsi were also present on the occasion.She directed the officers of Rural Development Department and R&B to gear up their men and machinery to ensure timely completion of ongoing developmental works at Nyoma, Tangtse, Nubra and Khaltse.She said that under Border Area Development Programme (BADP), Rs. 14.60 crore has been approved for the year 2018-19 for construction and upgradation of roads, buildings community gathering centres, footpaths, link roads, culverts, minor irrigation channel in the borders belts of the Leh district.She asked officers of the concerned department to personally monitor the ongoing development works in their respective jurisdictions.The DC Leh directed the officers to reach out to the people and address development-related issues with promptness.
