District  Development Commissioner, S Rajinder Singh Tara  Tuesday chaired a meeting of  District Level Review Committee (DLRC) to review the performance of banks in respect of achievements under Annual Credit Plan 2017-18 besides taking stock of position of Deposits, Advances and CD Ratio for the quarter ending March 2018.The District Development Commissioner stressed on the need for increasing the CD ratio by developing better coordination and cooperation among major banks and government departments.For 100% coverage of KCC, the district administration formed a committee with Additional Deputy Commissioner as chairman and chief Agriculture Officer and Lead District Manager as members.  The committee will monitor the progress of KCC coverage.The DDC stressed on the need of holding Financial Literacy camps in collaboration with Banks and government departments under intimation to Chairman on regular basis. He said these camps may also be utilized by the banks for creating awareness among the people about the Financial literacy, PMEGP, Housing for all, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna , achieving 100% coverage under KCC, promoting Prime Minister's  New social security Schemes and Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.

He asked the officials to work out an inclusive strategy to support and motivate the new entrepreneurs and guide them towards financially viable business opportunities.“There us need to make efforts for boosting  the small scale industries in the district,” he stressed. The DDC asked Lead Bank to draw a calendar for organising product specific camps like Financial Inclusion, housing loan melas, Education fairs, MSME seminars etc so that awareness about such facilities is disseminated among the target groups.The meeting had also a detailed review of all the government sponsored schemes with special focus on PMEGP Schemes.The DDC advised the sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in coordination with banks, so that more and more people are educated, motivated and facilitated to undertake self employment activities. DDC also released a booklet on the occasion published by NABARD.Satish Sharma, lead Bank Manager, informed that the Samba District has achieved  50.19% C D Ratio with 53.67% priority sector advances  as on 31.03.2018.Director RSETI gave a brief about the achievements of RSETI and trained 149 persons  by conducting series of programmes during the quarter March 2018.Among others present were bankers from RBI Abhilasha Diwalkar and Surinder Singh from NABARD, Director RSETI, District Coordinators of JK Bank, PNB, JKGB, EDB,   and representatives of all other Banks and officers of various  government departments.
