Norwegian Envoy calls on Governor Acharya Devvrat

Nils Ragnar Kamsvag, Ambassador of Norway called on Governor Acharya Devvrat at Raj Bhawan, Shimla, today.On the occasion, the Governor discussed issues pertaining to environment and exchange of technology. He said that serious efforts were being executed by the State of Himachal to protect the rich flora and fauna of Himalayan region. He said that the state has vast potential of hydro power energy and added that we were trying to exploit full potential by using latest technology in this field of development.In a courtesy call, the Ambassador apprised the Governor about the latest technology being adopted by Norway in harnessing hydro energy and said that the country was third highest promoter of gas in the world. He also detailed about development in fish production and generation of solar energy.Marta Gjortz, second secretary of Norwegian Embassy was also present on the occasion.
