Punjab Skill Development Mission undertaking Aajeevika Evam Kaushal Vikas Divas at 37 Blocks in State

The Government of India is undertaking Gram Swaraj Abhiyan from April 14 to May 5, 2018 in the Country. Out of several events planned during the Abhiyan, Punjab Skill Development Mission is undertaking Aajeevika Evam Kaushal Vikas Divas at 37 Blocks in Punjab. The aim of this effort is to increase the reach of rural households to Livelihoods and Skill Development schemes of Government.Revealing this here today, an official spokesman said that the inauguration of Aajeevika Evam Kaushal Vikas Divas would be held on May 05, 2018 at Shivalik Public School, Phase-6, SAS Nagar at 12.00 Noon. “During this event students will get registered under DDU-GKY and RSETI from the Ministry of Rural Development and skill development schemes like PMKVY, PMKK etc. of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship through Kaushal Panjee Portal. Besides this, some nominated members from the various banks will also be present there to apprise youth about their loan disbursement patterns under various schemes for promoting self employment”, he added. 

Spokesman further added that PSDM is also making efforts to improve soft skills and communication skills of the youth of Punjab aged between 15-35 years by running soft skill courses in all the districts of Punjab to increase their employability potential. Various Private Institutes and Government Institutes/Organisations like Central Tool Room, CIHT, BSNL,CSIO,CIPET, NIST, ATDC,NISST etc. are working in collaboration with PSDM to impart free skill training.The representatives from NGO's, SSC's, Industry associations, Department of Employment Generation and Training, Department of Industries and commerce, District Administration, prospective training partners, PSDM, DPMU will be present there. The successful placed candidates will be given job offer letters and the success stories of trained and placed students will also be shared during the event.
