O.P. Soni hands over appointment letters to 38 dependents on compassionate grounds

The Education Minister O.P. Soni today handed over appointment letters to 38 dependents of officials of Education Department on compassionate grounds. Of these, 10 clerks and 28 Group-D employees were given appointment letters by the Minister.Mr. Soni also released the Teachers Reference Manual for ‘Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab’ campaign. On the occasion, the Minister was regaled by the scintillating performance of primary students from the rural schools of Fazilka, Ropar and others districts during an impressive cultural program.Highly impressed by the intelligent quotient of the students, Mr. Soni appreciated the students, who fluently read the tables of 1240 and 1900 besides promptly replying to General Knowledge questions.Addressing the gathering Mr. Soni said that he was very much impressed by the teachers, who were taking keen interest in the ‘Pado Punjab, Padao Punjab’ campaign and improved the learning skills of the students remarkably.The Minister was apprised about the superb improvement in the State’s Annual Education Survey following the impact of Padho Punjab  Padhao Punjab campaign.The Minister congratulated the Secretary Education Krishan Kumar and his team for their tireless efforts in bringing marked improvement in the education system of Punjab. He exhorted the teachers to discharge their duties with utmost devotion, hard work and commitment to inculcate the interest towards studies amongst students.Earlier, Secretary Education Sh. Krishan Kumar, DGSE Sh. Parshant Kumar Goyal, DPI Sh. Paramjit Singh and other officials of the department welcomed the Minister.
