Airport Authority Misbehaved With Congress Mlas At Adampur Airport On Instigation Of Union State Minister Sampla

The Industries and Commerce Minister, Punjab, Mr. Sunder Sham Arora has said that the commencement of the flight operations from the airports of Punjab is a crowning legacy and achievement of the Punjab Government. Disclosing this here today, the minister said that Punjab Government and Union Ministry of Civil Aviation had inked an MoU in June, 2017 in which the Punjab Government promised to acquire land, making available water and electricity, reducing of VAT by 1 percent on the plane fuel besides constructing approach roads to the airports. He also said that this MoU was related to the 4 airports of Punjab.The minister further elaborated that it was the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh envisioned that the NRI diaspora especially those from doaba region derive advantage from this facility owing to the rapid industrial progress of Jalandhar. Criticizing the ruckus at the airport by Union Minister Mr. Vijay Sampla, Mr. O.P. Soni said that it was entirely due to the efforts of the congress government that the flight operations have begun from the adampur airport. 

The Minister had visited the adampur airport to welcome the passengers of the 1st flight at the airport.The minister further said that it was to gain cheap mileage that the Union Minister Mr. Vijay Sampla had instigated misbehavior with the MLA Shamchurasi Mr. Pawan Kumar Adia and MLA Jalandhar North Mr. Bawa Henry on the occasion of the function held to mark the commencement of flights from adampur airport.Mr. Arora further added that the Union Minister Mr. Sampla who has lost his base, had got prepared a list and handed it over to the airport authorities at adampur. The list included some leaders of BJP besides some councilors of BJP who had lost elections. Mr. Arora also said that Mr. Bawa Henry and Mr. Pawan Kumar Adia were the representatives of those people whose villages fall near the airport.Deploring the misbehavior with the MLAs, Mr. Arora said that the Union Minister did this to gain advantage with the impending Lok Sabha polls in mind and it was at his instigation that the MLAs became victims of misbehavior.
