Govt. working with new vision to take HP to new heights : Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a public meeting at Kullu after launching six health schemes for the state today said that these schemes would not only provide quality health services to the people of the state but would also realize the dream of ‘Swasth Bharat’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that even the people residing in the remotest part of the state would not be deprived of quality health facilities.He said the state government was working with new vision and enthusiasm and during last four months, four follow up meetings were held with the officers to ensure that the targets set for 100 days were achieved in the stipulated time period. He said that new initiatives had been taken by the government for welfare of the people.The Chief Minister said even after one and a half year the previous government failed to prepare DPR's of 69 National Highways sanctioned by the Union Government for the State. The previous government issued notification for opening of PHC at a place which even does not exist in the State. He said that MCI had given its permission to open medical college at Hamirpur and the work on AIIMS at Bilaspur would be started at the earliest. He said the matter had been raised with the government of India for expansion of Bhuntar airport.He said Mukhiya Mantri Ashirwad Yojana had been launched in the state for promoting institutional deliveries.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda said the centre government would provide all possible help to Himachal Pradesh to make it a model state of the country. He said that the ‘Gram Swaraj Abhiyan’ was not just a ceremonial function but a serious endeavour of the union government to empower rural India. The Gram Swaraj was being celebrated throughout the country from 14 April to 5 May, 2018. He said that Ujjawala Yojana has been launched to provide gas cylinders to every house hold in the country.Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar thanked the Chief Minister and the Union Health Minister for launching six ambitious health schemes for the state from Kullu amounting to Rs 175 crore.  He said that 262 posts of new doctors had been filled and 56 Dental doctors were appointed during the first 100 days of the present state government. Besides, 200 more posts of doctors would be filled soon. He said that Heli-Ambulance scheme would also be launched soon in the state.Transport and Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur said that the union government was ensuring that the pace of development did not suffer due to want of funds. He said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had come up with a new vision for taking Himachal to new heights. He said that efforts would be made to explore possibilities of water sports in various water reservoirs in the region.Power Minister Anil Sharma, MLA's Kishori Lal and Surender Shorie, former MP Maheshwar Singh were present on the occasion among others.
