Patwari, a private person nabbed red handed by vigilance

State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a revenue Patwari alongwith a private person red handed for accepting bribe.Disclosing this here today a spokesman of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said Gurnam Singh, Patwari, posted at revenue halqa Daba Lohara in Ludhiana district and a private person Mandeep Singh were caught red handed on the complaint of Gurdeep Singh of Daba Lohara.Giving details he said the complainant approached the VB and alleged that the above named accused were demanding bribe of Rs.15000 for mutation of his land and he had already paid Rs. 10,000 as a first installment.After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused were caught red handed taking bribe money of Rs. 5000 in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against both the accused at VB police Ludhiana and further investigation was under progress.
