Day-2: Shopian observes shutdown against students killing

A complete shutdown was observed in Shopian area of South Kashmir district for the second consecutive day on Saturday against the killing of a student on Thursday.All shops and other business establishments were closed while traffic was off the roads.Meanwhile police said 21-year-old Shakeeb Shabir was killed when militants travelling in a car opened fire on the forces. “The fire missed the target and hit Shakeeb who was also travelling in a taxi,” said a police official.
