Special campaign for vaccination in state : Vipin Singh Parmar

Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar today said that the Health department had launched an intensive Mission Indradhanush campaign under Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan in 93 villages of ten districts from 23 to 27 April 2018 in the state. During this campaign, 77 children and 15 expectant mothers were identified for vaccination who were left out in previous campaign.He said that free vaccination facility was being provided for 11 types of diseases including Tuberculosis, Polio, Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Hepatitis, Pneumonia, Homophiles Influenza etc. in all the hospitals and health sub-centres of the state. The vaccination was being done through latest technology using auto disable syringes to reduce any possibility of infection. He added that special vaccination campaign had been launched to achieve the target of hundred percent vaccination, which was also being reviewed every month.

The Health Minister said that in order to ensure vaccination of every child, special sessions were being organised regularly in zonal hospitals and medical colleges. A training programme for health, Anganwadi and ASHA workers on communication, inspiration and IEC for better vaccination had been worked out by the health department with support of UNICEF.He said that complete vaccination of every child at the time of admission in the school was being ensured with the help of education and women and child welfare departments. Besides, it had also been decided that schedule of immunization programme would be displayed at all primary schools and health institutions.
