Member of Parliament (MP) from Jalandhar, Chaudhary Santokh Singh on Thursday visited Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and inquired about the health of the youth Yashwant Kumar who got injured during violence at Phagwara town in last week.On the behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, MP along with senior Congress leader Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary, General Secretary, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) met the family members of the injured youth and assured fulsome support of Punjab Government to them.He asked them that if they are not satisfied with the kind of treatment is being offered here, Yashwant can be airlifted to another prominent hospital of the country but the family members showed their satisfaction and thanked Punjab government for their help. He said that Punjab Government is bearing all the treatment cost.Speaking to media persons, MP told Chaudhary asserted that Punjab Government is committed to maintaining the law and order in the state and no would be allowed to disturb the social harmony of the state.MP also appreciated civil and police administration especially PPS SP Jaskiranjit Singh for putting the best efforts after the incident in Phagwara.On the occasion, Phillaur Sub Divisional Magistrate Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa, Youth Congress Leader Yogesh Handa and others were present.
