SP college students hold peaceful protest rally in Srinagar

The students of SP College on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest march in Srinagar to demand justice for the eight-year-old Kathua girl who was raped  and murdered earlier this year.Dozens of students marched from the college campus to the historic clock tower at Lal Chowk and returned to the  campus through residency road.Traders Association Maisuma and Kukar Bazar Srinagar  Tuesday staged a protest against the eight-year-old girl who  was raped by a gang of Hindus inside a temple in Kathua.Chanting anti-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slogans, the  trade body members demanded hanging of the culprits along with arresting the two BJP ministers who earlier rallied in support of the culprits.Anganwadi  workers and helpers of the ICDS projects of State Social Welfare Department on Tuesday took to streets and protested against the rape and murder of  8-year-old nomad girl, demanding justice to her and immediate punishment to the culpritsStudents of Kashmir Government Polytechnic College (KGP) Gogji Bagh Srinagar on Tuesday held a protest demonstration against the rape and murder of eight-year-old nomadic girl Asifa, a resident of Kathua  district of Jammu and Kashmir.Scores of the students assembled inside the college premises shouting pro-freedom slogans against the gruesome  incident and demanded punishment for the guilty.
