Mohammad Younis Malik reviews progress on core development works

The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today visited Bijbehara, Harnag, Dialgam and Mattan to take stock of ongoing developmental works in the district.At Bijbehara, the DDC inspected the construction work of the Trauma Hospital which is coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 13 crore. The work is being executed by JKPCC. The DDC directed the DGM JKPCC to expedite the remaining works and ensure its completion by December 2018.While inspecting 100-metre span Gadhanjipora Bridge, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 12 crore under CRF, the DDC directed the DGM to ensure that work is completed within the set deadline of August 2020.During his visit to TRC Harnag, the DDC was informed that 3 buildings– Community Centre, Tourist Reception Centre and Tourist Facilitation Centre shall be coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 13.73 crore. He inspected the work going on Community Centre and TRC blocks which have been completed upto ground floor column level and stressed for speeding up the pace of the work so that TRC is made functional as soon as possible.

While inspecting the construction work at Government Medical College Anantnag, coming up at an estimated cost of 139 crore, the DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of the Boys Hostel and Administrative Block besides speeding up the pace of work on Girls Hostel, Residential Quarters and Lecture Halls. Later, the DDC also visited Mattan Tehsil Office, Rehmat Alam Hospital and Bhagwani Bridge to take a detailed stock of the ongoing development works.He directed all the concerned officers to ensure that the quality of works is not compromised with. He also asked the officers to strictly ensure adherence to the timelines fixed for works completion. He underscored the importance of these projects for the welfare of the general public and urged the officials to work diligently and with added zeal.
