7th National Bridge Championship, Steel Strips-1 Reaches Final With Huge Lead

More Teams Reach Final, 3 Teams Of Punjab Bridge Asociation Make It To Final

The 7th Steel Strips National Bridge Championship being held at Hotel Aroma entered its 2nd day today. After the completion of 7 rounds, 8 teams have managed to reach the final round. It is worth mentioning that 28 teams from across the country are participating in the championship.The first team to make it to the final was Steel Strips-1 which comprising of Subhash Gupta, Sapan Desai, B. Satyanarayan and Sawrendu managed the score of 114.59. Similarly, amongst the 7 more teams reaching the finals The Dhampur Sugar Team comprising Akanksha Vyas, B. Saha, Ashok Goel and Sujit Bhattacharya got to the 2nd position with a score of 92.23, the CIBA team comprising H.S. Dhariwal, Dr. Harbans Singh, Brigadier Surinder Singh and Ashok Huria scored 89.41 points and came 3rd, the Punjab Bridge Association-2 team comprising Kuldeep Khanna, Colonel J.S. Brar, Rakesh Sharma, P.K. Nayyar, R.K. Goyal and Rana Jolly scored 85.17 points and secured 4th position, the Spartans team comprising T.C. Pant, Anil, Ambrish Vadhera and Devi Bhatnagar secured 5th position with 84.59 points, the Delhi Blues team comprising Prakash Bhandari, D.K. Tewari, P.C. Gupta and Sengupta scored 82.05 points and got to the 6th rank, the Punjab Bridge Association-1 team comprising K.R. Lakhanpal, Colonel Guriqbal Singh, Sant Prakash Sharma and M.S. Sharma secured 7th rank with 81.65 points, and the team Punjab Bridge Association-4 comprising S.R. Malhotra, Y.P. Punj, B.L. Anand and Ved Parkash got to the 8th rank.The final round would be played on the 3rd and last day of the championship on the 15th April and those teams which could not qualify for the finals today would play other rounds.
