E-Awareness Stall Inaugurated At Basikhai Mela, Sri Anandpur Sahib

In a unique initiative aimed at creating e-Awareness among litigants, lawyers and general public, District and Sessions Judge, Rupnagar today inaugurated e-Awareness stall at Basikhai Mela at Sri Anandpur Sahib. This is first of its kind initiative in the State of Punjab. Under the guidance of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Chairman of Computer Committee,  the e-Awareness stall shall be utilized for creating maximum  awareness regarding e-Court services available on the websites of e-Courts, Punjab and Haryana High Court  and District Courts. A dedicated Kiosk has been installed to educate all concerned regarding searching of Cases Status, Court Orders etc. The ligitiants are being provided CNR Number of their respective cases pending in the Courts for easy reference. General public is also being apprised of easy steps to access the Court websites through Informative Videos. 

To know the current status of a case by return SMS, the litigant is required to SMS ECOURT to 9766899899.A stall was also laid by District Legal Services Authority, Rupnagar for creating awareness about the Schemes of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi as well as Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar besides the awareness about services being provided by District Legal Services Authority. The publicity material was also distributed.On this occasion, Sh. B.S.Sandhu District and Sessions Judge, Rupnagar, Sh.Rakesh Gupta, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Sh.Ajitpal Singh Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Sh. Ravi Inder Singh, OSD Computerization, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Sh. Anish Goyal Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Executive members of Bar Association Sri Anandpur Sahib, Advocates on Free Legal Aid Panel & Para Legal Volunteers from Rupnagar and Sri Anandpur Sahib were also present.
