Everything is fair in love and war, same is true for the politics in general and Indian politics in particular too, as the political equations keep on seeing the unexpected. Once Considered to be the closest aide of Late S.Beant Singh, eminent congress leader and Ex-president of Distt. Congress committee,  along with over 2 dozen heads of trade bodies of Ludhiana , Mr. Jagmohan Sharma , who has strong and sizeable following among the traders & industrial bodies in the city,  today formally announced his decision to join the Shiromani Akali Dal at a function organized in the city,presided over by Dy.CM Sukhbir singh badal .Highly enthused by the development, Sukhbir badal  said he is more than confident about the smooth & easy victory path of Manpreet Singh Ayali, SAD-BJP candidate , in the ensuing elections as two big congress leaders namely Birmi & Meharban had already joined Akali Dal,recently. He applauded the hard work being put in by all the SAD & BJP workers in rural & urban areas during their campaign. On the occasion, he also assured the entrepreneurs associated with the local trade bodies that announcement relating to the industrial packages for the state would be one among the many firsts that NDA govt. would announce immediately on formation of Govt. at the centre. 

Sukhbir Badal mocked the so called “canons” of congress, which are devoid of any capability & ammunition., adding that election results would sound death-knell for all such “big canons”.Manpreet Ayali also welcomed the inclusion of Mr. Sharma in the Constituency team and hoped that it would add further impetus to the already swelling support of SAD BJP in the constituency and hoped that more wise men of congress could come under SAD-BJP umbrella in coming days.Apart from Cabinet Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar, ex-minister Heera singh gabria, chairman Amrik singh Aliwal, Maheshinder grewal, Satpal Gosain, Mayor Harcharan singh Gohlwaria, Harish rai Dhanda, Parveen Bansal, Prof. Rajinder Bhandari, Gurcharan singh Galib, Sunita aggarwal, Pal singh Grewal, Tanveer singh Dhaliwal, Bibi Narinder Kaur Lamba Member Working Committee, Dimple Rana, Kapl Lekhi were also present during the function cum rally.
