Speaker distributes certificates among Yoga Instructors at NITS Polytechnic, Miran Sahib

Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today distributed certificates among the participants 3 day Yoga training programme conducted by SSRDP under the aegis of Art of Living (AOL) at NITS Polytechnic, Miran Sahib in which about 100 candidates participated.The Speaker said that these certificates are being given to the Instructors under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE).Addressing the gathering, the Speaker emphasized that these Government certified Yoga instructors will help people live a healthy life through yoga. He asked the SSRDP to take more such initiatives in other parts of the state and assured the organisers full support and cooperation in all such endeavours.The Speaker highlighted the initiatives taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote yoga classes in and outside the country.The Speaker also went around different sections of the Polytechnic College including Data Entry Operator Lab, Computer Section, Laboratory, workshop, Electrician Training Centre etc. The Chairman NITS said RPL Yoga is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through practice of Yoga to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of Yoga education. It provides an opportunity to receive certification from NSDC, MSDE.
