State Govt. committed for eradicate TB by 2025 : Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the function of launch of Tuberculosis Free Himachal Campaign under the 'Mukhya Mantri Kshay Rog Nivaran Yojna' at Una today on the occasion of World TB Day, said that the State Government was committed to eradicate TB by 2025. He said that this required concerted efforts by one and all.He said that once TB was considered as an incurable disease was now curable and it only required proper and timely treatment. He said that the health department has done a considerable work in spreading awareness regarding this disease. He said that social stigma of taboo against this disease has also been removed to a great extent. He said that awareness was vital for eradication of TB from our society.He said that that State Government would provide all possible amount to the department for complete eradication of TB. He said that Himachal Pradesh is the State which can be achieve this target to make the State TB free. He appealed the Department for working with dedication and committedly to eradicate TB and make it a history.

Chief Minister released booklet on TB eradication programme on this occasion.He also gave away prizes to the students of nursing college on the occasion.Health Minister Shri Vipin Parmar said that the State Government was committed to eradicate TB by the Year 2025 in the State. He said that the motto is 'United End TB'. The State was better than other States in respect of providing quality TB treatment to the people and Himachal Pradesh will be first in the country. He said Rs. two crore has been made in the budget for eradication of TB.Dr. Baldev Thakur, Director, Health welcomed and detailed various activities. He said that Himachal Pradesh was the first State in the country who launched this programme.Rural Development Minister Shri Virender Kanwar, MP Shri Anurag Thakur, State BJP President Shri Satpal Satti, MLA Shri Balbir Chaudhary, former Minister Shri Parveen Sharma, former MLA and senior officers of State Government were present on the occasion among others.
