The Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that peace is required for sustained development. He was interacting with the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio and the Council of Ministers who called on him, here today.The Vice President said that tensions lead to disruption of attention towards development. Therefore, the new government in Nagaland has to address the unrest and tensions among certain groups in the state. For this, the State government has to work to fulfil the aspirations of the people, he added.The Vice President said that development should be the main agenda and it should reach up to the last person in the queue. He further said that States to have good cordial relations with the Centre so that the Central Sponsored schemes are utilized well. Work with coordination with the Centre, he advised.  The Vice President said that Nagaland is different from other areas in socio-economic aspects. Therefore, efforts should be made to bring all the people in to the national mainstream, he added.
