DDC Doda holds public grievances camp at Thanda Pani, Assar

In order to redress the grievances of rural population at their doorstep, District Development Commissioner, Doda, Bhawani Rakwal today held a public grievance redressal camp at remote village Thanda pani, Block Assar Doda.The DDC was accompanied by CPO, Doda, Yoginder Katoch, SDM, Assar Navdeep Wazir, BDO ,Assar  Irshad Ahmed, DEPO, Doda, Ayaz Mughal, Tehsildar besides other sectoral officers.A large number of people attended the camp.On being apprised of various issues put forth by ex-Sarpanch, panches and locals pertaining to basic amenities like availability of drinking water, ration, reduction in power curtailment, posting of adequate staff in schools and health institutions better road connectivity, Aadhar enrolment, payment of pending MGNREGA claims & land compensation amount, play ground and many alike, the DDC assured them of full cooperation from district administration in their redressal.He said that the approach road from Assar to Thanda pani village to provide better connectivity to the whole area shall be completed by RDD for which funds will be sanctioned from 14th FC.

The DDC instructed the officers of Animal and Sheep husbandry to hold an awareness camp in Thanda Pani area on 12th March 2018 to make the people aware of various schemes launched by the government. He also assured the public that proposal for opening of primary Health Centre for better health service will be taken up with the concerned department.The DDC further directed AD (CAPD) Doda for shifting of Kerosene Oil Depot from Assar to Thanda pani village. He asked SDM Assar to convene a camp in the area for enrolment of the left out people for issuance of Aadhar cards.Similarly, the DDC issued on the spot directions to all the district and concerned sectoral officers for adequate water, electricity other basic facilities to the area. He asked the concerned departments to work in collaboration with people at grass root level and ensure that the benefits of various welfare schemes reach down to the downtrodden and poor sections of society of the remote area.
