Punjab & Andhra Pradesh To Forge Closer Bonds By Undertaking Activities In Culture, Sports & Adventure Tourism Sectors

"The states of Andhra Pradesh and Punjab share many similarities and both the states can learn a lot from each other by mutual interaction centred on knowing about each other's culture, tradition and history." This was disclosed by the Director, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Punjab, Mr. ShivDular Singh Dhillon here today during the inauguration ceremony of Inter State Youth Exchange Programme under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Punjab and Chandigarh. He also said that the most visited religious places of the world also situated in these both the states i.e Golden Temple in Amritsar and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. It is also worth mentioning that Punjab and Andhra Pradesh are set to forge closer bonds by undertaking activities in Culture, Sports & Adventure Tourism, Language and Cuisine sectors. The programme would continue till 11th March, 2018.Nodal Officer and District Youth Coordinator Chandigarh Mr. Paramjit Singh said that during the 15 days the campers would not only take part in the Debates, Seminars and other events but also visit Golden Temple Jallianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple, Virasat-E-Khalsa at Anandpur Sahib and SARAS Mela of Patiala. The campers also visited the beautiful places of Chandigarh i.e Rock Garden  Rose Garden as well as Sukhna Lake. On the occasion Mr. Jaswinder Singh Kooner State Director Haryana also addressed the gathering. Among other present on that occasion were S.N. Sharma State Director NYKS, Dr. Koto Shekher Coordinator RGNIYD, Alka Kapoor Project Manager Punjab Tourism Chandigarh, Rupali ATDC, Mr. Sandeep Ghand NYKS Punjab and Mr.Vijay Rana along with Mr. Jivandeep Singh who compeered the stage.
