Indo Global Colleges organized National Conference on Comprehensive Village Development Feasibility & Sustainability .The conference was attended by more than 350 delegates comprising of Architects, Planners, Engineers, Heritage Lovers, environmentalists, NGO’s and Government Agencies and students of Architecture and Engineering. Padma Shri  awardee Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Eminent Environmentalist was the chief guest and Dr. Gurdev Singh Gill-President, India Canada Village Improvement Trust and Sh. P.L Kaler- Former Principal Chief conservator of Forests, Punjab were the Guests of Honour.Chief Guest Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal  at the moment called upon the professionals and students to come out of their shells and spread into villages to serve with full commitment and dedication. A video film was screened by him on this occasion showcasing the ‘Seechewal Model’ adopted for the development of his native village Seechewal. Guest of Honour Dr. Gurdev Singh Gill said about 200 villages have been transformed in 15 years, so with this pace it will take about 40 years to transform all the villages of Punjab. We need innovative technology and adequate financial resources.

Guest of Honour Sh. P.L Kaler stressed that since beautiful environment create beautiful minds, so we must strive for environmental beautification of our villages by extensive plantation of evergreen; flowering trees and fruit trees.Ar. S. S Bahga, Eminent architect inspired the delegates by giving an overview of the model villages in various foreign countries.Ar. Sanjay Goel, Chairman IIA, Punjab Chapter informed about Village Development and Sustainability. Er. Balkar Singh, Assistant General Manager, Punjab Energy Development Agency made a presentation "Promotion of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency in Villages" and highlighted Government Schemes, Policies and Initiatives.Dr. R. S Ghuman-Professor Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development, Chandigarh made a presentation on Domestic water use pattern in rural Punjab.Manav Singla, CEO of Indo Global Colleges said that views of the experts were thought provoking and inspiring. On this occasion. Sukhdev Singh Singla, Chairman, Indo Global Education Foundation said that a road map with comprehensive planning and total commitment is required to develop every village as a Model Village with a combination of Rural Ethos and City Facilities.
