Governor Acharya Devvrat stresses the need of zero budget natural farming

Governor Acharya Devvrat today has put forth strongly the concept of natural farming among policy makers and agriculture experts  in a National Conference on "Agriculture 2022-Doubling Farmers' Income" organized by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India at New Delhi, today.He explained the importance of zero budget natural farming in the present pretext and said that as compare to chemical and organic farming, natural farming, which was traditional and helping in strengthening the farm sector. "Chemical farming has spoiled our fertile agricultural land and organic, which is a costly practice and also has no such impact to improve the economy of the farmers. So, only way to achieve the target for doubling farmers' income is to move towards in this direction of natural farming", said Acharya Devvrat.By quoting the findings of the scientists of Agriculture University, Hisar in Haryana and Agriculture University, Ludhiana in Punjab, he said that natural farming has the capability to improve the soil nutrients. He also explained the methods of preparing natural manure and said that it would have zero expenditure and beneficial in many ways. He added that, the manure could be prepared within four days and to be used in more than six months. 

He also briefed out various important espects of natural manure and also shared practical experience in their fields of Gurukul Kurukshetra. Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare said that the Union Government under the able guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi, various agri based schemes and policies were being initiated and executed for the welfare of farmers and hoped that with the continuous joint efforts, we would achieved the target of doubling farmers' income upto 2022 as announced by the PM. He also suggested agri based reforms and budget initiative.He hoped that the findings and important suggestions of scientists and experts came out in the national Conference would be helpful in bringing change in farm sector besides doubling the income of the farmers. Ministers of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Parshottam Rupala, Shri G.S. Shekhawat and Smt. Krishna Raj, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, Niti Ayog, Shri S.K. Pattanayak, Secretary (AC &FW), Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR and other top official throughout the country and senior scientist were also present among others.
