Rs 32.53 cr DPR prepared to augment WSS in Shopian, Wachi constituencies : Sham Lal Chowdhery

Minister for Public Health Engineering and Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today informed the House that a DPR for tapping source for 25 Water Supply Schemes of Shopian and Wachi constituencies has been prepared at an estimated cost of Rs 32.53 crore.The Minister was replying to the Calling Attention Notice by Mohammad Yousuf Bhat regarding delay in construction of Dubjan WSS in Shopian constituency.He said the project will augment drinking water supply of 115 habitations that are facing scarcity of drinking water in view of depletion of sources and establishment of new outgrowths.

Elaborating, the Minister informed the House that during the current financial year an amount of Rs 35 lakh was released under Capex Budget which has been utilized for procurement of 500 mm dia pipe through Material & Procurement Division Srinagar.He said the project covers 25 WSS including Hazratbal-Pinjura-Guglaroo-Pinjura, Borihallan/Padpawan, Chotipora, Amshipora- Shamshipora, Gagren-Largam, Gundihedow, Dachipora-Arsh, Shahlatoo, Meemender Gagren, Palpora-Bemnipora, Wasohallan, Nidagam-Narwani, Tulren-Tachloo, Arhama-Aglar, Saidapora, Kundallan, Checki-sehpora, Hermain, Trenz-Turkwangam/Trenz-khurampora, Losedenaw, Krawoora, Kiloora-Malikgund, Noolie-Poshwari/Konsoo-Noolie, Rarnpathri and Shopian Town.
