Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami demands fast track investigation into rape and murder of Kathua minor girl

leader and MLA Kulgam M Y Tarigami here on Friday moved a calling attention notice to demand the status of the investigation ordered into the rape and murder of a minor girl Asifa Bano daughter of Mohd Yousuf resident of Rassana Mohara, Tehsil Heeranagar of Kathua District.In his calling attention notice Tarigami alleged that some anti-social elements are trying to politicize the issue and halt the investigation to derive political mileages out of this heinous crime. While replying to the calling attention notice, the government stated that case FIR NO.10/2018 u/s 363 RPC was registered at police station Hiranagar and investigation has been taken up. One accused has been arrested. The investigation has been transferred to Crime Branch and the Crime Branch has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The case would be taken to logical conclusion and those found guilty will be sternly punished, assured the Minister.While condemning this heinous crime, Tarigami urged the House to unanimously condemn this saddest incident and demand stern action against all those involved in this heinous crime. He also appealed the civil society, political groups to unitedly raise their voice against such barbaric incidents and isolate those responsible for these criminal acts. There should be no room for those who shield the criminals under the one garb or the other.
