DPR prepared, land acquisition underway for Grid Station, Gurha Kalyal : Dr. Nirmal Singh

Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today informed the House that the DPR has been prepared for construction of new 220/33 KV, 2x50 MVA Grid Station along with Transmission Line costing Rs 64.12 crore at Gurha Kalyal in Billawar.  Dr Singh said that the land has been identified for the project and acquisition is under process. The project would be completed in three years, he added.Replying to a question of legislator Thakur Balbir Singh, the Deputy Chief Minister informed that the project has been proposed under Prime Minister Development Package (PMDP).He said that the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department had also released Rs 12 lakh which were used to procure material.
