No discrimination will be made in matters of development in the State : Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while addressing a public meeting at Shahpur today evening said that it is the congress that differentiates between colours of the Himachali caps in the state. I wear Himachali cap irrespective of its colour, he said. He said that there will not be discrimination of any kind between lower and upper Himachal because for him Himachal was one. “It is by virtue and blessings of God, that I landed in politics, no one from my family was in politics earlier and I can assure that in future too, no one from my family will be in politics. The people have elected me as a leader and I assure that I will try to live upto the expectations of people of my Pradesh, said CM.The Chief Minister said that the previous government was in the hands of tired and retired persons and those who were on extension. The government took very first decision to send them home at the earliest. Keeping in account nature of exigency of services of Patwaris and Kanungo’s  the government took the decision to retain their services till new batch of these revenue officials undergoing training was appointed. Taking a Jibe Jai Ram Thakur  said that the former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in a statement said that if BJP government tried to close any college as announced in congress regime, he would go to the Court forgetting that he still was visiting the courts every day.Earlier, the Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of Mini secretariat building to be constructed at Shahpur to cost around rupees 8.09 crore. A sum of two crore has been released and announced a sum of Rs 6 crore for its completion.He also laid foundation stone of Sub treasury office at Shahpur. 

Announcements by Chief Minister in Shahpur

• The Chief Minister  announced opening of Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Kaliyada catering three Panchayats of the area.

• Announced a sum of Rs 2 crore  for construction of building of Civil Hospital, Shahpur.

• Announced a sum of Rs 6 crore for completion of Mini secretariat building

• Announced Rs 50 lakh for construction of Bus stand at Shahpur.

Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary accorded warm welcome to the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. She read the Drishtipatra-2017  (Vision Document) she made for Shahpur constituency and counted her priorities. She thanked the Chief Minister for laying foundation stone of Mini Secretariat and sub treasury at Shahpur.  She said that Zero budgeting does not apply to BJP. It was the congress which laid numerous foundation stones without budget. The congress downgraded the status of Civil Hospital, she said, adding that the constituency was completely ignored by the congress government. Sarveen Chaudhary also presented a cheque of Rs 11 lakh towards CM relief fund on behalf of HIMUDA.Besides, a sum of Rs 51 thousand was presented by Gaj and Kholi Hydel projects, a sum of Rs 51 Thousand by Maclo Hotel Association, Macleodganj, a cheque of Rs. 31 thousand IPH contractor Union Shahpur, a sum of Rs 21 thousand each by Beopar Mandal Shahpur and one Jitendar Sodhi, contributed a sum of Rs. 21,000 towards CM relief fund besides many others.
