Meanwhile, replying to a question of Asgar Ali Karbalaie, Deputy Chief Minister informed the House that the Government has earmarked Rs. 42.44 crore for strengthening the power infrastructure and electrification of uncovered villages in Kargil district under DDUGJY. He said the work for execution has been entrusted to PGCIL Company. “Presently, EM&RE Division Kargil is run by 238 staff members including engineering and supervisory headed by an executive engineer. To meet out the deficiency of staff in EM&RE Division Kargil, 190 Casual/Need Based Workers have been engaged by the department from time to time for maintenance and smooth distribution of supply,” he added.1250.36 kanals land leased out for industriesMinister for Industries and Commerce, Mr Chander Prakash informed the Legislative Assembly that Industries Department has provided/transferred 1250.36 kanals of land on lease basis against an amount of Rs 193.87 crore. Replying to a question by Mr Altaf Ahmad Wani, the Minister said that no land has been unlawfully transferred to any non-state subjects by the Industries and Commerce Department.
