Children ambassadors of our rich composite culture, traditions : Chaudhary Lal Singh

Minister for Forests, Environment and Ecology, Choudhary Lal Singh today termed the children as ambassadors of our rich composite culture and traditions as the onus of carrying our legacy forward for the coming generations lies on them.The Minister was speaking at the annual day celebration of Minerva Public School, Barnoti, Kathua.Chairman of the School, Mahipal Sharma, was the guest of honour on the occasion.The Minister said schools are revered as a sacred place in the society in view of their role in shaping the future of the nation and it must be our prime concern to impart quality education to students besides promoting ethical values among them. He highlighted the measures being taken up by the Government to promote all parameters of education for overall development of the students.

Lal Singh said it is firm commitment of the government to ensure that this vital sector gets a fillip in all its aspects as it forms the basis of a strong nation. He exhorted upon the school authorities to make sure that their institution serves as a vibrant center of excellence. He added that the education sector is being prioritized for its promotion in all respects.The Minister appreciated the informative cultural programmes presented by the students which depicted state’s culture and traditions . He wished the children of the school a bright future ahead.The dignitaries distributed prizes among the meritorious students on the occasion.Joint Director Education, H R Pakhroo, ADC, Rishpal Singh, DFOs, Prominent citizens, staff members and students were present during the celebration.
