DC reviews arrangements for ‘Dangal’ under BBBP

District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar today convened a meeting of district officers and prominent citizens to discuss the preparations for  the  maiden event of women wrestling to   be held on 24th January 2018, under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP)Abhiyan .Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan is a flagship programme under which various events are organized by the district administration   to inspire women and to encourage girls to practice self defence techniques to protect themselves during any situation.He disclosed that the National and International level wrestlers are going to participate in the event.DC appealed general Public, Students, Parents, civil society and in particular to girls to come and join the event on 24th of January and be part of the initiative to change the perspective on  strength of a woman.
